Lead Safety
We are proud to announce our participation in the Lead-Based Paint Renovation, Repair and Painting (RRP) Rule.
Four employees of Joiner Construction, Inc. recently underwent Lead Safety Work Practices training in Great Bend. We have received licensure from Kansas Department of Health & Environment (KDHE) as a Licensed Renovation Firm. Those 4 employees have become Certified Renovators as well.
The purpose of this licensure is because of the Lead-Based Paint Renovation, Repair and Painting Rule (RRP). RRP is a federal regulatory requirement affecting all contractors, property managers, and others who disturb painted surfaces in homes and child-occupied facilities built before 1978. KDHE is responsible for administration of this regulation in Kansas. It includes pre-renovation education requirements as well as training, certification, and work practice requirements.
